Journey of Spirit--in the midst of wild times

A personal journey weaved into a collective journey, myself, Phil, Ange, Shamimah and shaman Raul and his son Harry  has set off our pilgrimage in Peru more than a week ago.

This is no doubt, a very personal journey for me.  It is also a journey for the 4 of us in the group.  And also a collective journey of humanity during times of great change.  The emotions in the heart have been deep and strong, like the rivers which have overflowed and caused immense damage in Machu Picchu, Urumbamba and other parts of Peru.

A few days ago we woke up in our hotels with no electricity and no water.  We wondered what was going on.  Due to immense rain in Cusco, many rivers have flooded and caused damage to many houses and to the people where the rivers passed.  We were in Urubamba at that time, and it was the rain which stopped the electricity and water.  We have been staying inside a hotel for several days learning about Andean spirituality, so we had no idea what was going on outside. On this day we rode a small van to our sacred sites for several outdoor ceremonies,  Raul kept saying, today is a very special day.  We passed by many houses which were half immersed in water, the local people gathered on the streets, offering help to each other.   It was a heart wrenching situation to watch.  Yet watching was one thing, we couldn’t do much, and we rode along to our destination of the ceremony.  We may not be able to help much with our two hands, yet with the intentions of  our hearts, we hope to be there for the people and the great changes  happening.

We connected with the energy of Mother Earth in our different ceremonies.  We prayed to be shown a new world, we hope what we envision in our hearts is also what the Mother is hoping for us.  Great changes are happening, much chaos is present before the new world is fully anchored.  And we are in the presence of these changes here in Peru.  How special indeed for everyone of us!

The railway has been damaged in numerous places, and Peru Rail has to be stopped for 60 days.  We have no train to go to Machu Picchu.  Many tourists are stuck in this sacred site, and had to be helicoptered out.  Many others cannot go in, and have to change their plans.  We were intended to visit Machu Picchu in two days when the news came out.  We waited and observed.  So our plans have been guided by the Universe.  We do not go to Machu Picchu and instead will spend more days in Puno.

Puno is a very special place for me, because of many reasons.  Most importantly, of my connection to Lake Titicaca.  I am deeply drawn to the energy here.  The lake has continuously been coming to my awareness during the San Pedro ceremonies we performed.  I am longing to go back and the Universe has prepared this for us.  Not only of my personal attraction to this place, but the big ceremony of the Solar Disk Ceremony will be held in Puno very shortly in mid February.  Everything is being lined up again by the Universe.

We have a most special group this time.  Everyone on this trip has opened their hearts with the teaching and energy of this land.  Everyone accepted this change and am happy to visit Machu Picchu another time.  Everyone felt the guiding of Spirit, and am happy to see what is in store in this trip apart from the itinerary.  Miracles keep happening to us.  We met our driver in a seemingly coincidental occasion, he turns out to be an excellent driver, so devoted to our group and a soul with a very calming energy.  In our sacred ceremonies, we got to visit the most sacred temple in Pisac by ourselves!  In another ceremony in Moray, we were visited by the hawk, the king hummingbird, followed by the condor.  The condor is not generally found in this area, and it came to greet us before our ceremony!

There are no words to express how perfect everything has turned out, although it was nothing we had planned.  With the burning light within us, the Universe has been guiding us lovingly and in utmost perfection.
